RAC Kyiv City | Gift a poem to a child project 

At the initiative of the Rotaract Club Kyiv City there is the Project „Gift a poeam to a child“.

Why?
Thousands of Ukrainian pregnant women and mothers with children were forced to leave their homes and find a safer place abroad without easy access to books in the Ukrainian language. Destroyed Ukrainian libraries and kindergartens that don’t have books.
Rotary Club „Kyiv-City“ together with Rotaract Club „Kyiv-City“ want to help displaced Ukrainian children learn their native Ukrainian language. Because language is the code of the nation!

What is the project about?
We want to print and spread 1000 sets of books with poems in Ukrainian language for children aged from 0 and 3 years.

One set contains 2 books:
– 1 book – for children from 0 years and older – with simple pictures that will be more understandable for young children;
– 2 book – for children from 3 years and older, with situational pictures and a game – find the sign „Rotary“ among the pictures.

Also, each poem has a QR code link, which you can follow to listen to the poem. So you can entertain and educate your children by reading or listening to poems. We already have a YouTube channel that you can join, listen to poems and already see pages from the book!

Poems of the modern Ukrainian author Victoria Nikolenko. Funny and understandable poems, short stories in simple words about family, children’s leisure time, nature, animals, games.
It is also a museum book, because we involved 50 Ukrainian volunteer illustrators for designing the book!
By donating €12 (500 UAH), you will get one set of books for yourself, and another set will be donate to charity. Or you can donate both sets of books to charity, as you wish.

How to join?
DONATE €12 (500 UAH) and choose one of the options:
1.One set of books for you, the other one – for charity to various centers and libraries for Ukrainian children abroad and in Ukraine, with the name of the donor indicated.
OR
2. Two sets of books for charity with the name of the donor indicated.

We draw your attention to the fact that we will have the books physically printed after fundraising for printing the books, then we will be able to hand them over to you and let you know!
